Study Abroad Opportunity - Asia Biztech Summer in Taiwan 2023

Asia Biztech Summer in Taiwan 2023 (3 or more credits)

Would you like to be a pioneer in a cutting-edge program to speed start your career at the center of business, technology, and globalization in Taiwan this summer? Professor Jack Marr of the College of Business and Economics will lead the program and we will select up to twelve exceptionally motivated and talented students for the third annual Asia Global Biztech Summer in Taiwan program from May 15- August 1st 2023. Asia Biztech is a unique chance for students to accelerate their careers in business and technology at the heart of the action in East Asia through meetings with top business, technology, government, and cultural leaders, practical, skill building classes, and an intensive internship at one of Taiwan’s top global firms or institutions.
All students will be required to take Dr. Marr’s INTBUS 497 Asia Biztech Practicum in Taiwan (3 credits) over the course of the summer forming academic the heart of the program as well as three weeks of intensive Chinese at any level at our partner Providence University in Taiwan’s second largest city Taichung. The program includes funding for Chinese studies and room and board from the Taiwan Huayu Scholarship, the Boise State Taiwan scholarship, and room and board for total scholarship funding of well over $5,000/student. This makes the pre-airfare and additional meals cost of approximately $2,998 per student extremely affordable and high-value for a ten week experience including three or more course credits, a deep dive into Chinese language and culture, an internship at a leading firm, and a life changing experience. For a good idea of what the program will be like, please visit the website at https://www.boisestate.edu/biztech/ (**note some program changes and improvements have been made for Summer 2023 not yet reflected on the website**). Key dates are included in the table below.
