Qualcomm Wireless Research & Development Internship

Summer Internship 2025

Qualcomm Wireless Research & Development is working on several new research topics in AI/ML and wireless communication and internship positions are available for the summer of 2025. The System Integration and Test (SI&T) team within Qualcomm Wireless Research & Development is in charge of integrating advanced algorithms and testing/analyzing prototype systems for proof of concepts. We are seeking an intern to contribute to the integration and testing of cutting-edge platforms and tools essential for enabling state-of-the-art technologies. These technologies will be applied to next-generation mobile, machine learning, and edge computing platforms, with applications in key areas such as smartphones, computing, XR, automotive, IoT, and more. The intern will have the opportunity to work in system test automation development, feature test planning, test execution, and analysis. The key skills for interns seeking to work in the different research areas are given below.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good understanding of AI/ML concepts (Deep learning, LLM transformer architecture)
• Good knowledge of Digital and Wireless communication systems
• Programming Skills in Python or C/C++

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Caffe2, Tensor flow
• Knowledge or coursework in computer architecture, multi-threaded programming, and operating systems
• Understanding of networking protocols like UDP, TCP/IP, and QoS and tools like Wireshark
• Knowledge of OFDMA, Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G NR concepts
• Knowledge of MATLAB

Educational Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Master of Science program in Electrical Engineering
• Must be available for 11 – 14 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-September) with a graduation date of  December 2025 or later
