High School -    Tuesday, February 28th, 8(ish) am - 5 pm

Science Bowl volunteers:

Great news, the 2023 Western Idaho Regional Science Bowls will absolutely be in-person!
We had a great time with the virtual bowls, but we look forward to having both returning and new volunteers help us carry on the Idaho Science Bowl traditions!

If you are new to science bowl, you can go to https://science.osti.gov/wdts/nsb/About to find out more about it. Teams from the Western Idaho region will compete to win a trip to the National competition in Washington DC. Student teams compete against each other in a fast-paced quiz-bowl type competition that focuses on math & science topics. Volunteer judge teams are the key to success for this competition.

We will be hosting both a Middle and a High School event, and will need volunteers for both! Both events will be held at Boise State, and parking and lunch will be included.

Competition dates:
Middle School - Saturday, February 11th, 8 (ish) am - 4 pm

High School -    Tuesday, February 28th, 8(ish) am - 5 pm

Both events will have a choice of shifts:
    AM shift
    PM shift
    All Day shift

The specific role descriptions and rules of the competition can be found here: https://science.osti.gov/wdts/nsb/Volunteers. There will be trainings available for all volunteers. (Required for new volunteers)
The roles include:
    Moderator
    Question Judge
    Rules Judge
    Timekeeper
    Scorekeeper
    General Event help
