For EE and CSE students:
Paid positions:
- Grader for ECE/CSE 180, ECE 212, and/or ECE 212L. Can pay $20/hr for up to 6-8 hrs/week. Interested students can email Dr. Cantley (kurtiscantley@boisestate.edu)
- Undergraduate researcher in the group for the new DOE grant "Neuromorphic systems for power grid cyber-resilience". This could be a person interested in power systems, cyber-physical security, integrated circuit design, digital systems, or any combination of the above! Pay and hours are negotiable :) - Interested students can email Dr. Cantley
- Do you have a programming background and are interested in working with firmware. It is not firmware coding, it is to characterize firmware. It is INL funded research. This will be for full-time students. It will cover monthly stipend and tuition waiver. If you have the skill sets and you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume to Dr. Loo (smloo@boisstate.edu) by 10/19. If you have questions, please get in touch with Dr. Loo.
- Volunteers to work with and observe Vex Robotics teams out in Nampa/Caldwell. I already have a student in my 180 class interested, but the more the merrier. We will also likely be hosting the Vex robotics middle school state tournament on campus in the SUB in February (details to come).
- Volunteers to help with events for Idaho Science Olympiad competition. Gary Carlson is the lead organizer. There are several events that would be of interest to ECE students, including "WiFi lab" where teams construct a WiFi antenna, "It's About Time" where teams construct a non-electrical clock, "Detector Building" where teams construct a mass/force sensor, and "Crave the Wave" where teams answer questions and solve problems about waves and propagation.
